The Village of Newport announces that regular village meetings will now be held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. This adjustment ensures the Village Board is able to complete its monthly business in a timely and efficient manner.

The Village of Newport is looking to fill a year‑round, part‑time general labor position with the Village Streets Department. While experience is preferred, it isn’t required. Please note that the job involves tasks requiring strong physical endurance.

Job Description: DPW General Labor Helper - Part time

Reports to: Street Superintendent

Salary: Starting at $18.00 - Compensation may increase based on your experience.

Type of Position: Part time Est. 10 hours a week or Less depending on demand
(some nights and weekends may be required)
